Shanghai, China – With the theme of "New Horizon, New Vision, New Growth – The Mission of Global Exhibition Industry", The Global Exhibition CEO Shanghai Summit 2023 was opened last Tuesday at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong.
The Global Exhibition CEO Shanghai Summit is being hosted by the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association (SCEIA). The event has been successfully held for 6 sessions, attracting corporate executives and government officials from more than 20 countries and regions over the years.
This year’s event has attracted over 250 senior executives in the industry to discuss hot topics like embracing digitalization and improving high-quality development of the industry.
At the ceremony, the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Industries Association (SCEIA) signed cooperative agreements with the international exhibition industry associations (UFI, IAEE, SISO and SACEOS) and the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Industry Association (HKECIA).
17 representatives from global exhibition trade associations, exhibition enterprises and consultancies were honoured by the Shanghai Commerce Commission as the “International Advisor for the Development of Shanghai’s Exhibition and Convention Industry".

On June 21, the meeting themed “Learn from the Past Experience and Look Into the Future” gathered industry peers from local and abroad to discuss the latest developments and future of the world of events.
Ms. Inès Ginon has delivered a speech titled “The resilience to overcome, the agility to adapt, and the confidence to grow in the world of the events” to share industry insights from local and global perspectives.
Ms. Inès Ginon said:“China’s event industry has showcased great resilience, agility and confidence in the face of adversity. In 2023, the event industry has proven its strength and capability in adapting new innovations and approaches to accelerate growth. We are confident with the Chinese market and will continue to promote international trade, entertainment and exchange in culture and knowledge in the world of events.”
