The 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) is held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5th to 10th. Striking at a greater scale, GL events once again becomes the stunning star of event enterprise representative in Hall 8.2 themed “Trade in Services”.
Since last year’s debut in CIIE, GL events firmly pivoted its strategy of global business focus to China, enabling its brand influence and team size riding in the fast lane of development. So far, GL events has set up 11 companies in China. Over 450 employees are working in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Qingdao, Nanning, Hong Kong and Macao, and have committed to build sustainable event ecosphere and strengthen cities’ appeal in economy and trade, culture and tourism as well as sports.
Though the group’s French team did not make it to the event due to COVID-19, yet Olivier GINON, Chairman & Founder of GL events, and the management team delivered their welcome messages in videos. Mr. GINON stated: “The CIIE’s convening as scheduled is of great significance. It greatly shores up exhibitors’ confidence within the economic new framework! Notwithstanding the pandemic, China’s capability of rapid back on track lights up the hope for global economy. I am convinced that this CIIE will achieve complete success as ever. It is undoubted that we will continue to invest more in Chinese market!”
Sitting at booth 8.2A2-07 in Hall 8.2, GL events presents a more substantial display than last year, through exhibiting content of service and successful cases. Their professional service capabilities are prioritised in international sporting events, venue management, various congresses / political events / cultural events and ceremonies. It is worth mentioning that GL events officially introduces The Solution for the Development of MICE cities in China in a "Dual Circulation" Pattern at CIIE this year, and elaborates on their experience in Chinese market and a series of innovative services through showcases and presentations.
Jor ZHOU, Chairman & CEO of GL events China said: “On last year’s CIIE debut, we introduced the 3 core businesses for us being a distinctive ‘integrated provider of event solutions & services for cities’: activities and sports events operation, venue management and event organising. We expanded our booth nearly 70% more this year. Apart from presenting updated achievements in China, we work as an urban event partnering operator and share our event development solutions through synergising city, service and industry levels under the ‘Dual Circulation’ Pattern. We’re more than happy to welcome friends across all sectors to witness and experience this special debutant.”
As GL events’ red logo continues to be eye-catching, a huge signage showing the enterprise’s mission “Bringing People Together” – further activates the booth this year. The design attracts crowd and becomes the best shooting site for visitors.
“The COVID-19 resets 2020’s development pace and blows the MICE industry. Thanks to China’s anti-epidemic efforts, we have still developed few key projects, such as The China Association of Clinical Laboratory Practice Expo (CACLP), The 3rd Digital China Summit, the opening of Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center (GYICC) and so forth. Opportunities lie in challenges, just as the pandemic mobilises us to seek proactive and innovative development in China. CIIE is themed ‘New Era, Shared Future’, which I believe summarises future trends incisively. From industrial upgrading to enterprise development, GL events believes in a future of inclusiveness and coordination. CIIE doesn’t only act as an exhibiting platform for new products, technologies and services, but more as an inter-industrial and cross-industrial grand communication. This greatly attracts GL events and motivates us to innovate,” commented Jor Zhou.
